Some also state that US government has been studying time travel at Area 51, while a retire colonel once claimed to have had access to material gathered after a crash of an extraterrestrial spaceship at Roswell.

The Death of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose - It was propagated for the longest time that the Indian Freedom Fighter and pioneer of the INA was killed in a plane crash on his way to the Soviet Union. But, if Netaji at all died in that air crash, has always been a matter of speculation among his followers and fans. None of his companions saw his body, photographs or death certificates. Many believed that Netaji had faked his own death to evade perils lurking from within the country. His bodyguard who died in 2006, confessed to have met Bose a year after the crash in Thailand. There are also rumors of him attending Gandhiji’s funeral disguised as a sage.

This theory insinuates the accident to be a staged disaster to claim insurance benefits for Olympic which had already suffered serious damages following a collision with HMS Hawke, a Royal Navy cruiser. The theory lost its strength when parts of the ship stamped “401” – Titanic’s hull number – were lifted from the depth of the Atlantic Ocean, but it still has a bunch of supporters.
